In Nigeria, millions of children are unable to afford tuition due to a combination of inflation, poverty, and systemic issues such as poor governance. These challenges contribute significantly to the countryâs high rate of out-of-school children. As of 2022, statistics estimated that nearly 10 million children between the ages of 6 and 11 were not enrolled in school. While I don't have access to the most recent data, I believe this number has likely increased in recent years.
The consequences of this crisis are profound. Many children experience disruptions in their education, and some are forced to drop out entirely, losing the opportunity to build a better future for themselves and their communities.
While I may not be able to support all 10 million children, I am committed to making a differenceâstarting with 30 children in the upcoming school session. Over the past few years, Iâve personally sponsored between one to five children each term, ensuring they remain in school. This year, I aim to expand that support to at least 20 to 25 more children.
But I can't do it alone. I need your support.
By making a donationâwhether one-time or per termâyou can directly contribute to a child's education. Every amount helps. In return, youâll receive a quarterly newsletter detailing how the funds are disbursed and the progress these children are making. Your support doesnât just pay tuitionâit changes lives.
